Wedgwood Asiatic Pheasants Plate – English Blue & White Porcelain

A timeless example of English blue and white porcelain — a palette that has remained quietly desirable across generations and interiors. This decorative plate by Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) Ltd features the iconic Asiatic Pheasants motif: a richly detailed composition of exotic birds in flight among peonies, chrysanthemums and trailing foliage, all rendered in deep cobalt blue on a warm cream ground.

Produced using genuine Staffordshire hand engraving and decorated under glaze in detergent and acid-resisting colours — a mark of quality that has defined this pattern since the pottery was founded in 1833. The scalloped rim with its fine beaded border adds an elegant finishing touch.

Blue and white pieces like this tend to integrate effortlessly — whether displayed alone on a plate stand or layered into a broader collection of transferware.
